A little about my practice

My work is rooted in love, ritual, and reflection. Combining the elemental forces of earth, air, water, and fire, I hand-build both functional and non-functional ceramic works through an intuitive process grounded in play, curiosity, and connection. I find clay to be the most instinctive medium for expressing emotion, exploring ideas, and giving form to the thoughts and feelings that move through everyday life.

My functional wares are created in small batches and designed to become part of daily rituals, gatherings, and moments of connection. Through thoughtful forms, hand-painted details, and a playful approach to colour and pattern, I create pieces meant to be lived with, from quiet morning routines to shared meals and meaningful celebrations. I hope each vessel becomes part of the memories formed around it, carrying stories of the moments it has held.

Alongside my functional work, I explore ceramic sculpture through a collection of wall-based works that reflect themes of introspection, memory, symbolism, and observation. My Fragments of Thought series transforms personal reflections and expressive writings into fluid gestures and rolling lines, capturing fleeting sensations, emotions, and dreams made tangible in clay. My bull head series consists of sculptural wall forms inspired by cow skulls, bridging Western iconography with ancient global mythologies where the cow is often revered as Mother, symbolizing fertility, nourishment, calm, and cosmic order. By reimagining the skull not as desolation but as a vessel of memory and renewal, these works explore strength, softness, and the cycles that carry us forward. My most recent Wallflowers series is inspired by quiet moments of noticing, imagined botanical forms that explore texture, shape, and movement while reflecting the beauty found within overlooked details and everyday surroundings.

Through each piece, I continue to explore the relationship between clay, story, and human connection. My practice is an ongoing conversation between intuition and intention, creating objects and forms that invite curiosity, reflection, and a deeper appreciation for the small moments that shape our lives.
